Wound Healing Institute

At the Wound Healing Institute at Florida Hospital North Pinellas (FHNP), oxygen is a tool of therapy and healing. The center has two hyperbaric chambers in which patients breathe 100% pure oxygen under greater than normal atmospheric pressure. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy quickly delivers high concentrations of oxygen to the bloodstream, accelerating the body’s own healing resources against certain infections. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is just one of a range of services available for wound healing at the Institute.
